How satellites track changes in citrus growth

Citrus farmers will find this info-graphic of a series of satellite images of citrus orchards most interesting…See how rapidly these citrus orchards changed over a relatively short period (30 January to 26 March this year). The changes are not that dramatic in the growth vigour maps (top row), but are clearly visible in the change maps. The rapid changes from 11 March to 5 April seems to be the result of insufficient irrigation during a dry/hot period. For similar maps visit http://bit.ly/cmCitrusSAVI01
